Decisive time for handling terrorism

Terrorism jolts india. This time it's a direct attack.just like a war.. a few men from across the border can come into such a porous coastline and finish their job...Terrorism just cannot kill people in a mass like a tsunami or an earthquake. Terrorism not just take away the lives and property of people but inflicts a fear in their minds . By their acts , terrorists create an insecured feeling in their minds.People start loosing confidence in the system of government ,leading to instability, exposes the inability of govt to handle situations.

India needs to learn from nations like america and isreal. In america, there have been 19 acts of terrorism since the 9/11 attacks which have been nipped in the bud by the govt. America maintains a superb intelligence network, prroactive counter terrorism operations using the latest technologies. Isreal, being surrounded by hostile nations, handles terrorism with limited resources. Isreal is tired of winning against terrorists.
India with a large resource of human potential can do it.It spends good amount of money for its military budget, can acquire latest technologies from its partners to handle terrorism..The only thing it lack is the "will" to do it.For the past twenty years it has allowed terrorists to take it granted by being soft on retaliating. After every attack, there comes a condemnation from the political setup, media runs the story 24x7 , and people forget everything within a week.Because "life must go in india". Being the second most populous state in the world, should we rate the value of life of our victims so cheap? By openly attacking in the streets, terrorists have showed that anybody can become a victim, both the reader and the writer of this blog.
India need not fly across and strike terror camps across the border.. atleast it can prevent and minimise the terror by strengthening the intelligence and depoliticising the network of men who protect us.
